FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Would I be able to have a consultation in person?

The consultation will be conducted by online video communication and will last around 30-45 minutes. Consultation can take place in person in our Wolverhampton or Birmingham base. Due to COVID-19 criteria, facial covering, social distancing, and a ventilated area would be carried out and required for indoor settings.

Can someone else speak on my behalf?

We will only answer to the customer, and all contact will be sent to them. Suggestions or directives from anybody other than the client will not be actioned. Any other form of communication would be regarded preliminary and would not be given credibility until it was in writing, with an acknowledgement email delivered within 24 hours.

Can I have original files?

We will provide proofs and PDF files for printing and online use, as well as any additional graphic assets specified in the work scope or request. Charges for design work do not include the release of our copyright design source files, such as INDD, PSD, AI, PNG, FLA, or other source files or raw code; if the Client requires these files for transfer to an in-house or other designer, they will be subject to a separate quotation or 'buy-out' charge.

Can I supply my own images?

Unit3 Design's definition of acceptable data submission methods is accepted by the customer. Text should be given to Unit3 Design in an electronic format, such as plain text (.txt), MS Word (.doc), email, or another.
Unless otherwise specified by the customer, images must be of high quality and acceptable for use without further image processing. Unit3 Design accepts no responsibility for the quality of any images, or scanned from printed documents sent by the customer, or for poor image quality.

How do I pay to start a project?

All charges must be paid in accordance with the design agreement. The client will be charged upon confirmation, 50% of the total amount due before work begins and the remaining due upon completion. Before final artwork is sent or final files are uploaded to live sites, all accounts must be paid in full. Only once Unit3 Design receives this will the project begin. Prior to print/artwork/publication, the client will be requested to confirm artwork approval, which will be followed by an invoice. The balance of the fees required will be due at this time. Accounts that remain unpaid for 10 days after the date of invoice will be charged an additional 5% every 10 days of the outstanding amount. Payments can be made through bank transfer to the account information provided on the invoice. Unit3 Design's released design work on behalf of the customer may not take place until funds have cleared. Unit3 Design maintains the right to prioritise early-paying clients and charge extra for quick turnaround within three working days.

What if I change my mind?

That is ok. We all change our minds. Please notify us as soon as possible, even if you have received confirmation. If no design work has begun, you will receive a complete refund.
